We woke up and w a view of Mt Fuji fr our windows...seemed quite hazy from afar....wondering if we cld still go up to d 5th station (we cld oni go up if weather permits).

Breakfast was tofu hotpot, chawanmushi, rice and guess wad...runny eggs... we all love our eggies..we jus poured those runny eggs into our rice..yumyum

We actuali went down to d lake to feel d water...thinking it mus b q cold...but strangely it's not cold at all...anw...line of boats in d lake (quite faint fr tis pic)...those ppl r actuali line-fishing...n they hav bn sitting in their boats ever since we woke up! haah how patient hor...D*anny said tt Mt Fuji is a destination loved by citydwellers on wkends...they will drive few hrs to Mt Fuji to relax..how i wish spore hv getaways like this....

We set off for Mt Fuji , d bus ride was abt an 1 plus! We were too bored on d bus ride...so we decided to play some games...woohoo..we played 2 games...d first was telephone line..haha so childish i noe...i came up w d first storyline...which was lame la...(i try to b as accurate as possible ok)....here it goes...Once upon a time, there lived a pig called ernie. She loves bread and butter. One day, she took a liking for her neighbour CS. Ernie was beside me....when i told her....she cun stop luffing.....n she had difficulty passing it on to ru who was beside her...i tink i had difficulty telling her too..cos i cun hold my laughter...i kept bursting into gasps of air into her ears hahahah...and yes...she kept luffing...until D*anny asked...how come i hear someone crying...who is tat crying at d back! *diongs* yuan lai ernie luffs lk she's crying haha......yah..so u tink this story is easy peasy?....nah..it reached wanlin, who's at d end, in tatters...FAIL! den wanlin passed another story back...it ended in tatters likewise...I dunno wads the exact phrasing but it was oso lame...it's abt a girl(?) who went to japan and likes to eat takopachi (?) and ended up stepping on an atomic bomb!!

The second game is slightly more intelligent haha..it is called words jie long...d idea is to come up w 2 chinese words and d nxt person had to use d last word fr d prev set and re-create another new word....

And we finally reached d 5th station of Mt Fuji!! Yipee...we made sure we were all well clothed bcos it was cold cold cold.....brbrbrbr....we took many pics here wor! >_<

After Mt Fuji, we headed dwn for an early lunch.....it was at a pitstop agn...this time...it was overlooking yet another beautiful lake, Lake Kawaguchiko. D*anny told us to tk some pics while he get d restaurant owner to prep our food for us.....

LUNCH!! It consisted of nabe (hotpot) again with lotsa pumpkin, mushrooms and other veggie...thr is udon inside d hotpot...D*anny taught us to put rice inside inside our soup...wunderful combination!=D

After a filling lunchie, we headed to Owakudani...a sulphuric volcano....thr is a tradition that says tt if we eat one of those sulphuric eggs (meaning normal eggs tt r cooked in bubbling sulphur), it is believed tt our lives wld b lengthened by 7 yrs. Haha..believe it or not...but i tink eating it is jus a form of gd luck......

Wait...Before that, we cam-whored in d bus...under the Queen of Poser's influence! Ha~

YeAh~ Owakudani! When we reached Owakudani, d whl place was so smoky and reeked of sulphur:

We climbed all d way up (up a path of nv ending steps).....not knowing wad to look out for....haha.

We set off for a ferry ride to Hakone(?)....jus a short 15 mins ride across a lake!

To kill boredom b4 boarding the ferry, Ru went to turn d machines...she wanted a hello kitty pouch...one for 300yen...

We also tried to "grab" a stitch toy for ernie w tt machine(yellow in colour in d pic)...but tough luck la...no stitch~~haha

It is off to to Tokyo aft d ferry ride...no more nice scenic sights fr d ctyside...from now on..it wld be tall buildings, alot of cars, lotsa lights....

Headed for Odaiba Pallet Town. It was more of a doggie shopping centre when we walked in...cos alot of ppl we saw had doggies w them. We walked into a pet shop selling many pedigrees of doggies and the gals were so happi when they saw the dogs! Saw a souvenier shop and we bot some sweets, cuttlefish sheets, wl bot a small toy figurine for her bro... =)

Inside the shopping centre, in d basement....v nice rt...d "fake" sky......so dreamy n lovely

Hungry cos of our early lunch, we each bot a cream puff...we 4 had custard, porky qi went for caramel....delicious lea...so creamy within tt every bite sends oozes of cream out of d corners of our mouth....falalala........300yen each~

Spent oni an hour plus here...thank god cos it was q boring too...

Headed to Asakusa next....a well-known shrine in Tokyo......we reached thr ard 5pm and the shrine was sadly closed...so we cld oni see d exterior of the shrine...it was quite a magnificent sight! It is supposed to be packed w ppl during opening hrs..but come to tink of it...arent shrines meant to be tranquil...i kinda like the grounds of the shrine to be quiet-er haha




Asakusa Shopping street...this one was quite crowded....thr were ppl selling many types of jap snacks...we shopped ard for more food to bring back to spore.....found out tt d fd were v much d same n prices were pretty consistent...we had 1 hr to shop....so we all bot sanbei (Japanese crackers). For a change, we decided on salty snacks instead of sweet snacks tt we hav bn trying throughout d trip! Althou thr was no free tasting....we decided tt it cant taste v bad...haha...we bot this cracker coated w chilli powder...The obasan repeatedly warned us tt it is v spicy n re-cfmed if we reali wanted it still....we insisted....i mean...we r sporeans rt! wads japanese chilli to us...the obasan said to eat it w rice if it's too spicy...we nodded politely....(And we all tried it aft we returned to spore...guess wad......its uber super spicy...i was tearing when i oni tried 1/4 of it....qi oso "complained" haha...no joke.....but on a side note, it din hav much taste which was q disappointing...we were jus so "chillified"!!! )

Thr were oso some toy shops here n thr......we din finish walking d entire street cos we tot wad we were seeing was getting kinda repetitive so we headed back....hoping to catch the Akiharaba electronic shop at d entrance of Asakusa...Wanted to buy the radiation sticker tt D*anny was raving abt....this radiation sticker supposedly helps block out harmful radiation when we use d HP...Anws..it was d v same same day, we heard abt the Akiharaba mass killing by a young male adult...Akiharaba is actuali a popular electronics street in Tokyo...frequented by ppl who want to buy electronics, manga etc. The Japanese hav this term "akiha-hei " or "otaku" to describe these "geeks" who frequent such places. Oh yes, the murder took place in d aftnn on tis v day....apparently this guy drove a truck and knocked dwn pedestrians..and he came out of his vehicle n began stabbing bystanders...he killed 7 innocent lives...v tragic...sighs...this news was reported in d local news cos my worried relatives asked me abt this incident when i returned ...

Sadly the shop was closed alr...so we roamed d streets hoping to buy a drink fr a vending machine....so far we havent bot anythg fr d machines...

Ru and I bot a drink each...she bot her soda drink, me my milk tea...we saw this cute icecream vending machine...was so tempted to try d ice cream!

Aft a long day, we headed back to our hotel, Sunshine Prince Hotel......we went for a late dinner aft tt at a chinese restaurant....i tink we were all famished aft a long day...we swept all d fd fr
d table....after dinner we went to Ikeburo for a walk.....no pics thou..we were bz walking tryin to catch d shops since they r gg to close for d day soon...

The gals accompanied me to Libro, a bookshop to find my ma's patchwrk books...n aft tt we tried to hunt 4 an electronic shop for tt radiation sticker...but we got directed fr 1 place to another......according to the salesgirl who spoke mandarin at 1 shop...thr wasn such a thg....strange! haha...aft being led fr shop to shop, most of d other shops along crowded Ikeburo were gg to b closed. The ppl in Ikeburo dressed up in v high-fashion, def more elaborate than Sporeans...girls had makeup and guys were pretty groomed...some of them were decked in "highly-creative"fashion! >.<

.........d oni shop opened still was the 24hrs convenience shop...so we went to the AM PM shop to buy all d yummy snacks...we spent a long time thr...gathering our goodies...n we headed back to our hotel n went to d family mart, another 24hrs shop..for more snacks..ru n i bot onigiri for our lunch @ disneysea d nxt day...wanted to save some $ n time Q-ing for food. the gals bot bread and tong luo shao...=)

Thr was internet connection @ d hotel....10 mins for 100yen...n we hooked up d net to get in touch w our family and to chk our emails.
