We had breakfast at our hotel and set off to see the Imperial Palace and a whole day at Disney Sea!
Some city sights along the way...
Look! Daiso =p We thought they would bring us there but they didn't! Sobsss....
Nissin Foods! Shany is really funny =p She waited till there were passers-by so as to 'show' that this is a photo taken by us in Japan and not a photo ripped off the internet XD
More city sights
Tokyo Tower! It was about to rain so the skies were a sad grey...
This video shows the Japanese people crossing the road, rushing off to work. The tour guide says they walk with their heads down and they just move slowly with the crowd, no impatient people, overtakings etc. =p
We set off at 8.15 for the Imperial Palace.. which was seriously nothing much to see because all you can see are the gates and the guards! =_="
Shany took picture of a homeless man
We arrived at Disney Sea at 1030
The sights which greeted us~
Amazing huh... Feels like we are in another world~
Another era~
Another continent~
The first ride we saw: Tower of Terror! We kept hearing screams coming from the building.. We wanted to take it on our way back but we had no time! Cos we wanted to buy souvenirs! - The only Disney Sea in the world! OF COURSE we had to buy some keepsakes~
The Titanic??!
Our 1st ride: Aquatopia - It was basically a ride where they will spin you around, you get caught in 'whirpools'... and lots of spinning! *dizzy*
2nd ride: Storm Rider - We are in a 'plane' and the ride simulates us riding into the eye of a storm. Was pretty cool =) Had wind, water and lotsa movements~
Ride 3: Electric Railway - It was more of a transportation means rather than a ride =p but hey we queued up for it! So shall include it in our 'Rides List'.
Our 4th 'ride' was a performance: Big Band Beat Performance~ We came down of the Electric railway and saw some people running in to this entrance. The show was about to start, we didn't plan for the ride but seeing that it was about to start we went in too =)
We were not allowed to take pictures inside. What a pity! It was really GRAND. Like those concert halls, the ushers were smartly dressed and the whole area looked so grand and posh. It was a nice Broadway, band, jazz kind of performance, with the Disney cast in it as well =)
After the Big Band Beat Performance, we kind of had our lunch along the way~ We were smart this time! We packed lunch because 1) The food prices in the Theme parks are sky-high 2) We wanted to save time so that we could use the time to enjoy 1 or 2 more rides! 3) The queuing times are REALLY long, so to pass time FOOD would be goood =) We are soo smart rite? OF course! This is what we learnt after going to TWO theme parks haha!
5th ride: 20,000 Leagues under the Sea - I personally love this ride because I am afraid of the deeep daarrrrk underwater world.. But I got to sit in the middle! In between Shany and En so I felt a teensy weeny bit safer. And the funny thing was! The 3 of us were screaming silly! =p We just screamed for no rhyme or reason. Cos there were only 5 of us in the submarine =p Lin and Qi were sitting at the side. And there was this part where shany saw this HUGE octopus eye... She asked me what was that and then I said eee what IS that??? Then I was really freaking out at this point of time, so I screamed, and then the two of them screamed as well =x hahaha~ it's really funny (well to me at least! =p)
It was already beginning to drizzle at this point of time...
Us in the queue of 20,000 Leagues... The queue was really leading us down under... WOoo~
A pity 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' ride was closed!! Thought it would be a pretty exciting ride! The rain was pretty heavy by now, so we decided to go to the indoor part of the theme park. Mermaid Lagoon's Trition's Kingdom!
Our next stop was Mermaid Lagooon- Triton's Kingdom! We were pretty excited about it! (okie okie I think only Lin and I were excited =p)
6th ride: Jumpin' Jellyfish - This ride was oh-kay just bobbing up and down like how a jellyfish would. Wanted to scramble for the pink jellyfish but the children were so fast! So didn't get to choose =p
The place was dim but had some 'special lighting', while we were queuing we realised that I could 'glow' hah! Those who wore white especially had this 'white light glowing ability' =p
En and Ru in the queue
Qi and Lin on the Jellyfish-y!
7th ride: Blowfish Balloon Race: This was a ride which took us up then spun us round and round and round. We were like on a hot air balloon, except the hot air balloon was the blowfish~
Ate Mickey Mouse Ice cream
Souvenir Shop of Mermaid Lagoon
We went in to buy some 'Under the sea' souvenirs =p before we headed out for the outdoor rides~
Outside of Mermaid Lagoon - Luckily the rain had stopped by now =) It was a little wet but the sun was beginning to come out! =)
8th ride: Flounder Flying Fish Rollercoaster - It was a mini rollercoaster, this is good for people who like the thrills of a rollercoaster but do not want to go through the trauma of the real thing =x Hah~
Next stop! Arabian Coast!
9th ride: Sinbad's Storybook Voyage
Hee Shany managed to take a picture of what was inside. But it looked much nicer than this though! It was just a boat ride, but the 'puppets' inside looked really nice, they could move, blink and sing! =) Almost fell asleep though =x hee but it was really amazing how they could do it up so nicely~
After the ride, we walked around to take more shots of the bustling Arabian Marketplace
Jasmine's Fountain~
Taking some random shots at Arabian Coast
Oops shany got locked out!
Our 10th ride! Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull - Honestly, we didn't know what was this doing in a 'water themed' park =p But it was a really exhilarating ride! As usual, En and Ru screamed their heads off at anything and everything. Qi was most excited about this ride =p
Black Pepper Popcorn - Hee we thought it was quite special so we went to try it!
We bought the caramel popcorn too~ Love sweeeet popcorn!
Hmm not sure which pig =x took a picture of us eating popcorn so unglam-ly =p
Then we had some fun taking photos with the popcorn box =p This is our relay/evolution shot Ahaha~
To celebrate the coming of the Olympics with our Popcorn box torch =p
Hmm what is this piece of thing...? Gimme gimme...
We had Caramel Popcorn too =) Yummy~
These mascots were like celebrities! Children and even adults chasing after them to shake hands and take photos.
These pictures were after PATIENTLY waiting for all children to clear and getting the mascot's attention. Only piggo ru is not inside waha... But if it was Little Twin Stars or Ariel she WILL be the first to be there!
En and lin with Daisy
Shan, Goofy, Qi, Lin
Pretty Cart selling beautiful flowers =)
On our way to the souvenir shop we caught the Spring Carnival =) It was a parade procession thingy~ With lots of Disney Characters. Pity we were running out of time and charging to our last stop - the Souvenir Shop!
While En, Ru and Shany were rushing like mad to the souvenir shop, Qi and Lin could not resist taking photos!=)
Posing happily with our looooot =D
Art of a Million Smiles!
It is actually a collage made up of many many many photos of the smiling faces which visited Disney Sea~
So cool huh =) Pity we didn't take the close up picture of each smile that made up this beautiful picture
Shan and Ru posing with 2 and 5~
Byeeee Disney Sea!!!
We waited till about 6pm ++ for them to pick up the people from Disneyland before they came over to pick us up! Heading for BBQ Buffet Dinner!
Unveiling of the legendary Kobe Beef *drum roll*
Don't be mistaken, it's not one piece for the each of us~ It's e 5 of us sharing ONE SLICE of this precious kobe beef.
Guess how much one of these steak slices costs? About S$100++!!! Yea so they cut it into smaller slices for us... Each of us had about like TWO. So we paid $20 for two pieces of beef~ Wahaha~
5 piggies with the two little sisters from our tour =)
Look at the foood!!
Yummy! Really 'melts' in your mouth with just a few chews~ And yup! One of these slices cost about $10!
Our favourite soft serve ice cream. This was the LAST ice cream (besides the one we had in the plane) we had in Japan!
Last stop! Garden Hotel - Our last hotel for this trip! It is situated near the airport so that we didn't have to wake up too early the next day~
This was the Christmas Hotel opposite our hotel. I wonder if they get people staying in there even when its not X'mas season? Looks so nice =) Wonder how the interior looks like. Santa Claus soap, bath robe, lobby, slippers? =D
Although it was a long day, but since it was our last night in Japan we decided to go for a walk to the nearby convenience store to get more souvenirs/Japanese snacks! =)
